Picture Top Coffee Table
Would you like a way of displaying photos or printed holiday mementos that is functional and easy to change? A coffee table topped with a sheet of glass that can be lifted off when you wish to change your display could be the answer. This coffee table is also a good talking point when friends and family come around.

To set up your picture top coffee table you need
• A wooden coffee table
• 2 pieces of beading
• A piece of heat resistant glass
• A collection of photos or pictures
Attach a piece of beading or strip of wood to two edges of the table top to help keep the glass in place.

Carefully measure the top of the table after the beading is in place and get a glazier to cut a piece of heat resistant glass to fit. Although heat resistant glass is more expensive than standard glass it is worth the extra cost. You don’t want to risk the glass shattering if someone puts a boiling hot mug of tea on the glass on a freezing day. (People sometimes forget to use the coaster.)
