Top Rainy Day Activities for the Home
Get crafty on a wet day
It is amazing how much you'll be able to achieve on a rainy day. Wet weather is perfect for spending some time in the home. It can be tempting to work from home, and especially when you've planned your day off, and alas, it's raining outside. Don't do any work unless you're inspired to.
Rainy days are awesome days to chill, and to get your pad back in order. Some of the top things to do in inclement weather in the home include, yet are not limited to the ideas below. These ideas came forth, not necessarily in order of preference, however based on what came to mind first, and then thereafter:
1. De-Clutter (spring cleaning)
A perfect time to sort out your wardrobe in particular. If there are clothes that somehow pop out in front of you, and you've not worn them for a while, and if you're inspired to try them on, just do that. Put a pile aside for the clothing items you wish to keep; another pile for the items you wish to toss or give away, and another pile for another review. You can do the same for shoes also. It is common to wear only a small amount of our wardrobe items the majority of the time. Yes, thanks Pareto. One you've attacked the wardrobe, and you have some time, you can then go on and complete the same in other areas of your home.

2. Cleaning
Leading on from the above, spending time in the home in wet weather allows you time to catch up on those domestic chores, if you decide to clean the house yourself. When in the groove, you'd be surprised how much cleaning you'll actually get done.

3. Artistic Pursuits
A great time to unleash the creativity within. You'll be surprised. A great time to draw, paint and create some paper mache designs. Wood designs would also come into this category. Take care if you're using any power tools for the latter.
4. Watch a DVD
This is great, regardless as to whether you're alone, or together as a family. There are many DVD vending machines in and around supermarkets, where you can hire a new release for only $3.50 a night. This would require a bit more advance planning, and perhaps to leave the home in inclement weather to return the DVD once enjoyed.

5. Animal love
If you have any pets in the home, wet weather is ideal in giving you some much needed time out while you're petting your furry companion.
