Home Hint 7 Stopping a Ladder Running in Tights

For anyone who has ever put on their last clean pair of tights only to discover that there is a hole....... how do you stop a ladder from running all the way up your leg?



Simply apply clear nail varnish (actually, any colour will work but clear will not show up!) all round the hole and no ladder will appear. If a ladder has already started, then apply a dot of nail varnish at the top of it too.

If you have no nail varnish to hand, then soap will also work but will feel a bit sticky. The nail varnish will also survive washing to keep on preventing a ladder but soap will wash away and need to be replaced.
