Essential Christmas Decorations for the Home
Lovely all round
Before we know it, the "silly" season will come upon us once more. Regardless as to whether or not you live alone or with others, Christmas can be a rather crazy time. Plenty to do, and that also means a bit of re-shuffling and re-decorating your home. When done as much as possible in advance, less santa chaos in the home ensures. Some of the most popular Christmas decorations for the home are covered here. Some households also use these same decorations for Christmas in July celebrations, although December it normally is. Never get your tinsel wrapped around your decorations ever again.
1. The Christmas Tree
What would Christmas really be like without the iconic Christmas tree? Would your home prefer a real one, or stick to the re-useable plastic variety? Is the tree going to be inside or outside? Some logistical factors to consider for sure. Do the presents under the tree go under the tree the moment they're wrapped, depending on how organised your household is? Or do they land on the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve?
Great Christmas decorations, in decorating your home at this celebratory time.
2. Christmas Tree Decorations
There always needs to be either an Angel or a Star to sit atop the Christmas Tree indeed. Decorations are a must. Cheap can be tacky, and bubble decorations with glitter in particular are fantastic on a real Christmas Tree. The downside to the bubble tree decorations is that they're usually made of glass, and if some mishap was to occur (the epitome of Christmas really), care needs to be taken with any little ones in the home. Candy canes make great decorations, and so do Christmas lights, and only a little bit of tinsel. It is great to also have a Christmas toy underneath the tree where the presents are kept.

3. Christmas Wreaths and the outdoors
Great to hang up anywhere inside the home, and/or at the front door. There are many suburbs in Sydney, including a popular street in Rockdale that attract crowds where every single home is decorated with bright lights on the home exterior. Christmas music and santa suits also reign, and pun unintended there.

4. Santa/Christmas Stockings
So kid friendly. Many homes buy a combination of toy treats, and stuff the stockings to hand out to the kids of the house come Christmas day. Otherwise known as "goodie bags." Really great.

Let's not forget the Christmas bon bon's at dinner time, despite the heritage, cheap toys, and the "we're so over it" jokes at the dinner table. All the best with the Christmas preparations in your home.
Merry Christmas
