Controlling those Sweet Cravings in the Home
A fun and decorative way to do this. Sweet.
There is something different about the sweet treats in the home, as opposed to buying and consuming any sweet treat when out and about. Maybe it could be the extra effort involved in transporting such sweet treats home. Who knows. We have a tendency to trust the food in our home more so than elsewhere, and this 'trust' can be a precursor to having some cravings for sweet foods in the home, and especially if they're there.
And lead us not into temptation this way
Controlling those sweet cravings in the home can (indeed) be a fun and less cumbersome task than trying to hide those sweet treats out of reach, and/or in hard to recognise places. Not anymore. The two willpower aids that I'll introduce to you shortly are fantastic at overcoming those sweet cravings in the home. These fun machines can be used as 'adult' toys in the home, and they are great conversation starters by home visitors, if placed in a prominent position in your home.
A few sweet treats, for what its worth.
First off, the
Jelly Belly Mini Bean Machine is heaps of fun to have, and the manufacturers have deliberately made it difficult to turn the coin operating function off. You can operate this machine with or without coins. So retro, and is also a quirky home decoration piece that is priced at around $34.95, and comes with 50grams of Jelly Belly jelly beans to get you started. Works well with $2 coins, as well as five and ten cent coins. No coins, no treat. You need to follow the instructions carefully to remove your coins. This dispenser is a great way to save some of your coins. Dispenses about five jelly beans per coin, and that is more than enough for many people. As you're (technically) paying twice for this treat, you're literally thinking twice before going overboard. Reminds you of those machines in the milk bars in the 80's and 90's era.
Image Shocking Fun website. The Shockolate Vault.
Although not as conveniently available in Australia, you can still purchase
The Shockolate Vault online. All you need to do is store your sweets in the 'vault,' and set the timer for when you would like your next treat, and remember to only pick up one chocolate (or other sweet) treat when you can access the vault next. If you try to access the vault at other times, your fingers will receive an electric shock, and it really hurts.
Suitable coins to use. Silver is best. Get your moneys worth.
Some ways to control those sweet cravings in the home have been covered. If you have any other ideas on this, please leave your comments on this article where indicated.
Have a screwdriver handy. You can put some jelly beans back in the dispenser.
So cool
