It can be quite confusing when it comes to knowing the right power tools to buy, and ultimately to use in the home. Then again, we have come a long way when it comes to the DIY magic with the advent of these noisy, dusty gizmos that do (indeed) make life much easier, on even a simple home improvement project.
Which ones are really necessary additions to the home 'tool' kit? Drilling holes is tonnes easier with a cordless drill. Voltage wise, 12 volts is ideal, and the ideal drill needs a reversible facility, just in case.
What about the reciprocating saw? If you're exhausted after woodchopping with an axe, you're in manly heaven here. This power tool will cut through metal like soap removes dirt. Literally. Of course, do not cut through a wall, without knowing what is opening up sesame inside. Aim for one with multiple blades.
What power tools can't you live without in the home, and why?
Sorry guys, don't know what happened to my Internet connection the other day. Just wanting to share an image of Rob Palmer sharing his power tool magic, at Better Homes and Gardens LIVE in Sydney recently :)
