Today it is all about work and running around in a hurry. This leaves you with not enough time to clean your home, not to mention all the stress such a life style causes. What if we told you there is a way to have a bathroom that is very easy to clean? Not only that, but that very same bathroom can be a place where you can relax and release all the stress that has been gathering up. We are talking about the trend of minimalist bathrooms. Such bathrooms require minimum cleaning time. The time you manage to save this way can be spent in that same bathroom, lying in a hot tub and enjoying the peaceful ambience minimalist bathroom offers you. If you are thinking about renovating, this is the right style to go with. And here is what such a bathroom should look like.

One vanity for all the clutter

Hardly will you find a person who doesn’t have shampoo and conditioner bottles just lying around the bathroom. There is no room for this in a minimalist bathroom. You should get one bathroom vanity for all the clutter you have around your sink. A vanity that is 36 inches long and 22 inches wide should be more than enough for storing all the shampoo bottles. The only thing that shouldn’t be kept in the vanity is soap. Everything else goes in there. You can keep your hairdryer in there, as well as towels and robes.

Choose the right shapes

Minimalist bathrooms are all about the simple architecture forms. The tub, sink and toilet should come in the same or similar shape, thus making your bathroom more visually appealing, which is the charm of such bathrooms. You can get a wall-mounted sink and toilet if you want to make more space available. Handles and faucets you choose should be modern and minimal. They should also match the shapes of the other bathroom elements. No element should be too large and distracting. They should all come in standard materials and simplest designs.

Keep the colours simple and natural

The minimalist trend is closely related to nature and that is why the colour of tiles plays a big part as it is something that makes an impact on the looks of the whole bathroom. Since a minimalist bathroom should look natural, going with light green or blue tiles is always a great option. You can never go wrong with simple white tiles as well. All of these colours will create a sense of serenity in your bathroom. When changing tiles and other bathroom elements you should get help from professionals. If you are doing bathroom renovations in Sydney, choose local companies for help and materials and thus lower the expenses of the renovation.

Be sure to follow all of these instructions if you want to renovate your bathroom in minimalist style. The simpler your bathroom is, the more you will enjoy spending time in it. Not only this but cleaning it will be much easier. All you’d have to do is keep the clutter away and swipe the surfaces from time to time. Once the renovation is finished you will have your own place for rest and relaxation.
