Whether you prefer not to use commercial cleaning products or, like me, go to your cupboard to get a window cleaning spray only to discover it's empty, using a bit of old-fashioned know-how will get your windows sparkling in no time!

It's very simple. All you need is some vinegar, some tap water and an old newspaper.
Pour the vinegar and water (roughly equal quantities) into a large jug or a bucket, scrunch up the newspaper and dunk it in so that it is wet but not falling apart. Then rub it vigorously over your windows, leave to dry and you will have sparkling streak-free windows!
Alternatively, you can put a half and half water/vinegar solution in a spray bottle and use that to spray your windows, then rub with the newspaper.
