This is so easy to make and will create hours of fun for your little ones.

Basic ingredients, most of which I am sure you have in your cupboard right now!
All you need is:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
1 cap full of Dettol Antiseptic Disinfectant Liquid (optional)
Disposable gloves (optional)
Peppermint Oil (optional)
Mix together all ingredients, except the food colouring & Dettol, and stir over a low heat until it comes away from the sides of the saucepan.

Stir over a low heat on the stovetop
Allow it to cool and then kneed the dough until it is smooth. Add the Dettol. Dettol will protect the playdough from any nasty germs that might be on their busy little hands.
You can also add some peppermint oil (or any flavour of your choice) to add smell to this sensory experience.

Kneed the dough until smooth
Decide how many colours you want to make and divide the dough into equal portions. Make a well in the centre, ready for the food colouring.

Divide into equal portions and make a well, you're now ready to add the colour
I used disposable gloves when adding the colour, this will ensure you don't stain your hands during the process. Kneed the colour through the dough until it is all absorbed.

Ready, steady, play!
When your little ones have finished creating, this play dough will last for 6 months if stored in snap lock bags in the fridge.

Correct storage will ensure this play dough will last for 6 months
