The simple things in life are often the best, and in every home too.
There are some smart and savvy ways to decorate your home, and give it the lift it needs and deserves. There is no longer a need to spend endless hours watching home improvement shows (unless you really want to), pinching pennies, and/or going through neighbours trash to name to decorate your pad simply, easily, and effectively. The best ways to decorate your home on a budget are covered herein, and when you really get into the groove through either retail therapy and/or creativity, you will begin to have some fun with this process too.
1. Artworks
There is no need to spend $200 upwards for a piece of art, unless you really want to. If you live in Sydney, you're in artwork luck, as Oxford Street Darlinghurst is home to some great galleries that sell art at affordable prices. After all, the City of Sydney has offered grants to gallery operators to set up shop along this prominent strip of culture. Otherwise, home wares stores such as
Bed Bath N Table sell great canvas pieces. Otherwise,
Typo stores sell some simple, funky artworks, that when on sale, can be priced as low as $5 each.
A La Mode Studio, also based in Sydney, also provide some fantastic prints for the home, and the good news is, you can also order prints online with them.

2. Rugs
How fashionable, and you do not need to spend top dollar, unless you are after some of the cow fur variety. There are places that sell rugs direct from the factory, and otherwise
IKEA is a good place to buy a couple of quirky, cheap, and surprisingly good quality rugs.

No need to go overboard on rugs in the home
3. Fresh Flowers
Love a bunch of fresh flowers once a week, every week in the home without fail. Some supermarkets sell a bunch of tulips to liven up any living space for only around $8 a bunch. If you live in Sydney again, there is a florist at Darlinghurst that sells a bunch of roses for only $15 each.
4. Vision Board
More of a new age concept, however if there are certain things you would like to attract into your life, and/or if you want to create a collage of things in your life that you love, then go ahead and do this by cutting out magazine images, and pasting them onto some cardboard. Then take this vision board to Officeworks (or similar) for cheap laminating, and then place this board up somewhere in your house that resonates with you. Behind the front door is an ideal spot, and that way you see your creation every single day in uplifting your personal living space.

Feel great every day in the home
5. Cushions
There is no need to lash out on quality cushions. Great cushions can be found at cheap and premier department stores, and you only need a couple to liven up your sofa.

Simple yet gorgeous
